Online tool aims to arm melanoma survivors against recurrence
NCT ID NCT03028948
Summary
This study tested whether a personalized, interactive website could help people who have had melanoma (skin cancer) better protect themselves from the sun and perform thorough skin self-checks. Nearly 500 participants who had been treated for early-stage melanoma were assigned to either use the website or receive standard care. The goal was to see if the online program could encourage behaviors that help prevent the cancer from coming back.
