Online skills training cuts heavy drinking in assault survivors

Summary
This study tested a web-based program for college women who have experienced sexual assault and drink heavily. The program combined alcohol-reduction skills with emotion regulation techniques to help them cope with distress without turning to alcohol. 200 women participated, and the goal was to see if the online training could reduce their typical weekly drinking.
