Phone app aims to prevent swallowing problems for cancer patients
NCT ID NCT04003051
Summary
This study is testing a website and app called 'Project Prepare' to see if it helps throat cancer patients stick to their prescribed swallowing and jaw exercises during radiation treatment. The goal is to prevent or reduce long-term swallowing problems, a common and serious side effect. About 300 patients receiving treatment in community settings will use the program for 10 weeks to access exercise videos, coping tips, and patient stories.
