Smartwatches could become a new tool for ICU survivors

Summary
This study is testing whether wearable devices like smartwatches and smart scales are practical and helpful for people recovering from a serious hospital stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Researchers want to see if tracking health data at home can help patients and doctors better understand the recovery process. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to either receive standard follow-up care, use wearables, or use wearables plus get regular health reports for 6 months.
