Wrist monitors could reveal hidden struggles after ICU

NCT ID NCT07466446

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple wrist-worn activity tracker can help healthcare teams understand how people recover at home after a serious illness requiring intensive care. It will track movement patterns in 40 adults recently discharged from the ICU in Edinburgh hospitals and see if changes in activity relate to symptoms like pain or sleep problems. The goal is to learn if this data can help spot recovery issues early to guide better support.
