Smart watch could predict COPD crises before they land you in the hospital
NCT ID NCT06890767
Summary
This study is testing if a wearable device can help people with COPD by spotting early warning signs of a serious symptom flare-up (called an exacerbation). Researchers will give 50 participants a device to wear at home for three months to track things like heart rate and oxygen levels. The goal is to use this data to build a system that can predict flare-ups early, allowing for quicker treatment and potentially preventing hospital visits.
