First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a wireless, wearable monitoring system that tracks vital signs like heart rate and breathing continuously. The goal was to see if it helps hospital staff detect when a patient's condition is getting worse more quickly than standard checks. About 240 adults on a surgical ward took part. The results will help decide if a larger trial is worthwhile.
