Smart bandage aims to catch hospital setbacks before they happen

NCT ID NCT06815718

Summary

This study tested a comfortable, wearable device called the viQtor to see if it could spot early signs of health decline in patients recently moved from the intensive care unit (ICU) to a regular hospital ward. About 180 patients wore the device for up to 5 days while receiving their normal care. The main goal was to see if the device's continuous data could create a better warning system than the standard checks nurses perform a few times a day.
