Headband zaps insomnia? study tests wearable sleep aid
NCT ID NCT06100185
Summary
This study is testing a wearable headband called PeakSleep that delivers gentle electrical stimulation to the forehead to help people with insomnia fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly. Over 8 weeks, 100 adults with insomnia will use the device at home before bed and track their sleep with a Fitbit. Researchers will compare sleep quality during weeks when the headband is active versus when it delivers a fake (sham) stimulation.
