Smartwatch may boost CPAP use in sleep apnea patients

NCT ID NCT07377968

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether wearing a smartwatch and seeing its data can help people with moderate to severe sleep apnea use their CPAP machine more often. About 80 adults who are new to CPAP will be split into two groups: one can see their wearable data anytime, the other cannot until the study ends. The goal is to see if the wearable improves CPAP adherence, sleep quality, and daytime sleepiness.
