Smartwatches track lung cancer patients during treatment

NCT ID NCT06342284

First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether people with lung cancer can use an Apple Watch, a home pulse oximeter, and a smartphone to collect health information during proton beam radiation therapy. About 40 participants will wear the devices from the start of treatment until two weeks after it ends. The goal is to see if this kind of data collection is practical and useful, not to test a new treatment.
