Summary

This study tested whether a discreet, hands-free, wearable breast pump could help Black mothers of critically ill newborns produce more breast milk. Researchers compared the wearable pump with a tracking app against a standard mechanical pump in 40 mothers. The goal was to see if the wearable device was practical and showed promise for increasing milk production before planning a larger trial.
