Race against time: new stroke workflow could save brain cells

Summary
This study tests whether sending stroke patients straight to a special X-ray room (angio suite) for imaging and treatment can speed up care and improve recovery. About 594 adults with severe stroke symptoms will be randomly assigned to either the new fast-track approach or the usual CT/MRI scanning route. The goal is to see if faster treatment leads to better outcomes 90 days later.
