Summary
This study is testing whether eating fresh watermelon every day for six weeks can improve gut health, heart health, and body composition in young adults who are overweight or have obesity. Researchers will compare people eating watermelon to a group eating a different low-fat snack. They will measure changes in gut bacteria, blood pressure, cholesterol, inflammation, and body weight.
