Summary
This study tested whether eating watermelon can lower blood pressure in adults with pre-hypertension (slightly high blood pressure). 39 overweight or obese adults aged 25-65 ate either 1 cup, 2 cups, or no watermelon daily for 4 weeks. Researchers measured 24-hour blood pressure and other heart health markers before and after the diet period.
