Electric baths tested to ease painful swelling after breast cancer
NCT ID NCT06753175
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special water-based electrical stimulation therapy to standard treatment could better reduce arm swelling and pain in women who developed lymphedema after breast cancer surgery. Sixty women were split into two groups: one received the standard treatment plus the water therapy, while the other received only the standard treatment. Researchers measured changes in arm size, pain levels, and quality of life over two months.
