Heart implant scanned to see how well it seals off stroke risk

NCT ID NCT05567172

Summary

This study tested a small heart implant called the WATCHMAN FLX Pro, which is designed to seal off a part of the heart to prevent strokes in people with a common irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. Researchers used detailed heart scans to see how well the implant was covered by the body's own tissue after it was placed. The goal was to understand if better tissue coverage is linked to fewer complications.
