Smartwatches join the fight against second strokes
NCT ID NCT07640360
First seen Jun 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a smartwatch that gives real-time feedback can help people who had a minor stroke walk more and lower their risk of another stroke. About 50 adults aged 40-75 who recently had a minor stroke or TIA will take part. They will all get nurse advice, but half will wear an active smartwatch that tracks steps and gives feedback, while the other half wears a passive one. The goal is to see if the active watch leads to more daily steps over 12 weeks.
