Pocket-Warmed pain relief: a faster start for laboring moms?

NCT ID NCT02912078

Summary

This study tested a simple idea: does warming epidural pain medication in a doctor's pocket before giving it help the medicine work faster for women in labor? Researchers enrolled 139 women to compare the speed of pain relief between warmed and room-temperature medication. The goal was to find a safe, easy way to reduce the wait for pain control during childbirth without needing more complex procedures.
