Walnut diet may help men with prostate cancer

Summary

This study tests whether eating 2 ounces of walnuts daily for 4-10 weeks can slow prostate cancer growth in 50 men who are scheduled for prostate removal surgery. Participants are randomly assigned to either add walnuts to their usual diet or continue their normal diet. The main goal is to see if walnuts reduce cancer cell growth and inflammation in prostate tissue.
