First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests if a program combining walking and Tai Chi can help veterans with COPD (a lung disease) and long-term muscle or joint pain move around better. About 136 veterans aged 40 and older will use a FitBit to track their steps and report their pain and breathing. The goal is to see if this gentle exercise program improves daily physical function without medication.
