First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study aims to see if prescribing a specific number of daily steps based on a person's weight and body fat can help overweight or obese adults lose weight and improve heart health. Researchers will first develop a formula to predict weight loss from step counts, then test it in 200 adults over 8 months. Participants will wear a simple pedometer and eat as usual, with no structured diet or exercise program.
