Walking test could predict spine surgery success

NCT ID NCT04250753

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study followed 20 people with lumbar spinal stenosis (a narrowing in the lower spine that causes leg pain when walking) before and after surgery. Researchers measured walking speed, stride length, and other gait details to see which ones best reflect disability and recovery. The goal was to learn, not to test a new treatment.
