VA tests remote program to get amputee veterans walking again

NCT ID NCT05412550

Summary

This study is testing an 18-month telehealth program designed to help veterans with leg amputations become more active through walking. The program combines remote coaching, peer support, and self-management training to help participants reduce sedentary time and maintain exercise habits. Researchers will track daily step counts and other mobility measures to see if this approach improves long-term activity levels compared to standard education.
