First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether walking on an incline or walking faster on flat ground is better for people with COPD to reduce shortness of breath during exercise. About 54 veterans with COPD will walk on a treadmill in different ways to see which approach helps them breathe easier and walk longer. The goal is to improve pulmonary rehabilitation programs so more patients can benefit.
