Lab tests could spare some women unnecessary vulvar cancer surgery

Summary
This study aims to see if lab tests on a woman's vulvar cancer tissue can help doctors recommend the right amount of surgery. For early-stage cancer, researchers will test if the tumor is linked to HPV (a common virus) and check other markers. Based on these results, some participants may avoid a second surgery and just be monitored, while others might need additional treatment, all to better control the cancer while reducing overtreatment.
