First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests a light-activated drug therapy (VTP) to open up blocked food pipes in 12 people with advanced esophageal or stomach cancer who have trouble swallowing. Doctors will find the safest light dose to shrink tumors blocking the throat. The goal is to ease swallowing, not to cure the cancer.
