New celiac drug VTP-1000 enters first human safety trial

Summary
This early-stage study tests whether a new drug called VTP-1000 is safe for adults with celiac disease. About 45 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo. Some will also eat gluten to see how the drug affects their immune response. The goal is to find a treatment that helps people with celiac disease better tolerate accidental gluten exposure.
