First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether letting young children (ages 3 to 5.5) watch a 3-minute virtual reality video of the clinic before their checkup can reduce their fear and stress. Half the kids will use VR goggles to see a 360° tour of the exam room, while the other half wait as usual. Researchers will measure crying, pain scores, and how easy the exam is for the doctor, aiming to make doctor visits calmer for kids and parents.
