Stroke patients walk in virtual worlds to regain real mobility

NCT ID NCT07201974

Summary

This study is testing whether virtual reality walking therapy can help stroke survivors improve their ability to walk in everyday community settings. Forty participants will use VR headsets and a special treadmill to practice walking in simulated Montreal streets and malls for 4 weeks. Researchers want to see if this approach is practical, safe, and acceptable to both patients and therapists in a real hospital setting.
