Scientists test if virtual reality makes exercise more fun
NCT ID NCT07213388
Summary
This study aimed to see if exercising with virtual reality (VR) is a practical and enjoyable option for inactive adults compared to walking on a treadmill. Researchers enrolled 61 participants who were randomly assigned to use VR, a treadmill, or just sit and listen to music. They measured things like heart rate, calories burned, enjoyment, and mental focus to see how the different activities compared.
