Virtual reality steps up to help Parkinson's patients walk better
NCT ID NCT05703217
Summary
This study compared two types of rehabilitation for people with Parkinson's disease: a standard physical therapy program and a program using a virtual reality treadmill system. Twenty participants, aged 60-80, were split into two groups to see which method better improved their walking, balance, and quality of life over a 50-day program. The goal was to find more effective ways to help patients move more safely and independently in their daily lives.
