Virtual mall walks: new tech aims to get stroke survivors back on their feet

NCT ID NCT04559373

Summary

This study is testing a new training program that uses virtual reality (VR) to help stroke survivors walk more confidently in their communities. Forty participants will practice walking in a virtual shopping mall and streets using VR goggles, combined with supervised real-world practice. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, acceptable, and improves how far and how well people can walk after a stroke.
