NCT ID NCT04559373

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 4-week program combining virtual reality (VR) and real-world walking practice can help stroke survivors walk more confidently in places like shopping malls and streets. Forty adults who had a stroke 9-24 months ago will use VR goggles and game controllers to navigate a virtual mall, then practice those skills outside with a caregiver. The goal is to improve walking distance, balance, and participation in community activities.
