VR headsets may calm nerves before major cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07294690

Summary

This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) to train patients before colorectal cancer surgery is better than standard written brochures. It aims to see if VR can lower anxiety, make patients feel more prepared, and help them recover faster after the operation. The researchers will compare three groups: one using VR, one using brochures, and one receiving usual care.
