First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether wearing virtual reality (VR) goggles during a colonoscopy or upper endoscopy can lower the amount of sedative medicine needed. Ten adults aged 21 to 65 will receive minimal sedation plus VR to see if it reduces pain, improves satisfaction, and shortens recovery. The goal is to make the procedure more comfortable with less medication.
