Virtual reality games tested to speed up brain injury recovery

NCT ID NCT07441798

Summary

This study is testing whether an interactive virtual reality (VR) system is better than just watching VR videos for helping people recover arm and leg movement after a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Sixty patients in a rehab hospital will be randomly assigned to use either the interactive VR games or watch passive VR content, in addition to their standard therapy, three times a week for eight weeks. The main goal is to see if the interactive games lead to greater improvements in movement and function.
