Summary

This study tested whether virtual reality therapy could help autistic adults cope with overwhelming sensory situations like loud noises or crowded spaces. Researchers created VR scenarios to gradually expose 90 participants to common triggers while teaching coping strategies. The goal was to reduce anxiety and improve daily functioning by helping people become less sensitive to sensory challenges.
