VR headsets calm dental fears during tooth removal

NCT ID NCT05963750

Summary

This study tested whether virtual reality could help adults feel less anxious during tooth extractions. 119 patients were split into two groups - one used VR headsets showing peaceful landscapes during their procedure, while the other did not. Researchers measured anxiety levels before and during the extractions using standard questionnaires to see if VR made a difference.
