Schools use VR headsets to fight teen vaping epidemic
NCT ID NCT07460622
Summary
This study is testing a virtual reality (VR) program delivered in middle school classrooms to prevent teenagers from starting to use e-cigarettes. About 1,250 eighth-grade students in Connecticut and Massachusetts will either use the VR game or receive standard health education. The program teaches students about vaping risks and gives them skills to manage emotions and resist peer pressure, with the goal of preventing nicotine addiction and related health problems.
