VR and music calm blood pressure crisis in ER
NCT ID NCT07272486
Summary
This study tested whether adding virtual reality (VR) and classical music therapy to standard blood pressure medication could help patients in the emergency room. 130 adults with a severe, sudden spike in blood pressure (but no organ damage) were randomly assigned to receive either just medication or medication plus VR and music. Researchers measured blood pressure and anxiety levels over 4 hours to see if the relaxing experience provided extra benefit.
