VR meditation may help smokers kick the habit

Summary
This study tests whether practicing mindfulness meditation in a virtual reality environment can reduce cigarette cravings and help people quit smoking. Two hundred adults who smoke 10-40 cigarettes daily will either do six weekly VR mindfulness sessions or use standard nicotine patches and gum. Researchers will check if participants have stayed smoke-free at 3 and 6 months.
