Medical students train for brain surgery using VR headsets
NCT ID NCT07304570
Summary
This study tested whether a new virtual training program could help medical students learn neurosurgery skills when their in-person hospital rotations were disrupted. Researchers compared a program combining virtual reality simulations with live-streamed surgeries against traditional online materials. They measured how well 112 fourth-year medical students could make clinical decisions and perform virtual procedures after the 4-week course.
