Virtual puppies help ease pain of wound care for seniors
NCT ID NCT07447830
Summary
This study is testing if wearing a virtual reality headset showing calming scenes can reduce pain and distress for older adults during wound care. Up to 20 residents in a long-term care home will try the VR headsets during their routine wound dressing changes. Researchers will measure their pain levels and see if the VR is practical for staff to use in this setting.
