Virtual reality speeds up surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT07493499
Summary
This study is testing whether virtual reality (VR) relaxation sessions can help people recover better after major abdominal surgery. Patients will use VR headsets with guided relaxation programs before and after their operation to see if it reduces pain, anxiety, and how long they need to stay in the hospital. The research compares this VR approach against standard recovery care to determine if it's a helpful addition to surgical recovery.
