VR goggles aim to ease Pre-Surgery jitters
NCT ID NCT05718661
Summary
This study tested whether watching relaxing videos through virtual reality (VR) glasses could help reduce anxiety in patients waiting for abdominal surgery. Researchers compared anxiety, stress, and heart rate in 96 patients who either used VR or did not during the 20-25 minute wait before their operation. The goal was to see if this simple, non-drug method could make the pre-surgery experience less stressful.
