VR goggles aim to ease surgery fears and pain

NCT ID NCT07297095

Summary

This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) to educate patients before colon surgery can help. Researchers want to see if watching a 3D animated video through VR goggles reduces anxiety before the operation and leads to less pain and better sleep afterwards. They are comparing this VR training to the standard verbal education patients usually receive.
