Virtual reality headsets tested as new weapon against sickle cell pain
NCT ID NCT06184126
Summary
This study is testing whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset can help reduce pain for adults with sickle cell disease who come to the emergency room with a severe pain crisis. It will add VR sessions to the usual pain medications to see if it makes patients feel better. Researchers will measure pain levels before, during, and after the VR session to see if it helps.
