Virtual hospital tours aim to calm expectant mothers facing early birth

NCT ID NCT05547724

Summary

This study tested whether a virtual reality tour could help reduce stress for pregnant patients hospitalized due to a high risk of preterm delivery. Since an in-person tour of the neonatal unit isn't always possible, researchers offered patients an immersive VR visit from their hospital room. The goal was to prepare patients for a potential early birth and ease their anxiety.
