Virtual reality could help stop postpartum leaks

NCT ID NCT07455838

Summary

This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) during pelvic floor exercises makes the training more effective for new mothers experiencing stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine when coughing or laughing). Researchers will compare VR-assisted training to standard training in 50 women who gave birth 3-6 months ago. The goal is to see if the immersive, game-like VR experience improves muscle strength and reduces leakage better than traditional methods.
